The YTA is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to continuing and improving the quality of yoga teaching.
“I can't begin to tell you the wealth of information I’ve received from attending YTA workshops. I've been exposed to so many different forms of Yoga, different approaches and different philosophies and love it all!"
—Susan B., workshop participant
The Yoga Teachers Association (YTA) is a not-for-profit, educational organization dedicated to continuing, improving, and deepening the quality of yoga teaching in the Hudson Valley. The YTA offers ongoing workshops led by nationally recognized yoga teachers, as well as highly accomplished local area instructors. The YTA was created by a small group of pioneering yoga teachers in 1979 who saw the need for affordable and continuing education. YOU are invited to join us!
Ongoing LearningIn the interest of furthering a student's knowledge, the YTA offers a different workshop every month in a variety of techniques and styles, 10 months of the year. Each workshop is 3 hours long, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, and is usually scheduled for the second Saturday of the month. Workshops are fee-based and open to the public. Members of the YTA receive discounted pricing. Workshops may be offered in-person, via Zoom, or in a hybrid model (in-person with Zoom feed). For most workshops, a recording will be made available to all registrants for two weeks following the workshop. Most workshops are eligible for Yoga Alliance continuing education units (CEUs) through the instructor. We try to note in workshop details when an instructor is a Yoga Alliance Certified Education Provider (YACEP). |
