Life as we are experiencing it in the “now” is challenging in individual ways to each of us, leading to frustration, fearfulness, and fatigue. Certainly “now,” our practice is relevant!
The title of this workshop—Divide and Conquer Your Consciousness—was sparked by Paula's thoughts of how to bring the simpler and clearer aspects of the past into being a stabilizing factor, here and now. The wisdom of the past is inherent in yoga’s teachings and offers so many experiential opportunities to help us move forward toward a goal in any journey we undertake.
“Divide and Conquer" is an ancient concept employed by the illustrious civilizations that were the foundations of modernity and their military maneuvers. Yoga is founded by the past as well, and brings with its practice the many avenues and approaches to follow our karmic journey. The main truths we’ve inherited are as complex as we are.
We are subjected to our needs for balance in our bodies, minds, and spirits and the activation of intelligence to discern an appropriate response. Habits and habitual behaviors must be understood in order to connect and correct the issues in the way of self- awareness, joy, and overall well-being. We need to evoke our innate courage and self-empowerment as we face the many changes and challenges and recognize the opportunities and wisdom they bring to us.
This workshop will attempt to address the benefits and joys of Somatic, Kinetic, and Kemetic systems, which are part of the ancient legacy of yoga and the foundation of asana, but often passed over by modern society and technology. However, scientific research is on our side and proves how profound our inherent knowledge was and is!
Our beautiful brain is waiting for this restorative stimulation. We will also explore the exercises for the brain, paradox and idioms, that evoke unused patterns of thought and behavior needed to inhibit habitual responses.
So let’s “Divide and Conquer” for full consciousness—prove “Less is More“ to fully engage and embrace our total being and to challenge AI with our own universally bestowed gifts … and yoga.
A recording will be made available to all registrants for two weeks following the workshop.
