Dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for self-discovery, Birchwood Center is committed to promoting awareness of regular yoga practice and massage as tools for healthful living. Our vision was inspired by the intention of creating a sacred, uplifting space for individuals, families, and people of all ages. Everyone is welcome.
Devi Ma Yoga
Devi Ma Yoga is dedicated to the nurturing support of women and families. We specialize in yoga for the childbearing years, but also offer yoga for fertility, yoga for the wise-woman years, and Hatha Yoga for women and men. All classes encourage reconnection with the natural ebb and flow of nature by honoring the corresponding cycles within the body at various stages of life. Services also include childbirth education, continuing education workshops, yin yoga teacher training, and prenatal yoga teacher training.
Located at the Hat Factory in Peekskill, our space is dedicated to encourage self-expression, spiritual awakening, emotional growth and physical unfolding. Offering yoga all levels, including vinyasa, gentle, yin and restorative yoga.
We are a nonprofit interfaith community. Our goal is to create a sacred space for seekers yearning to deepen their connection to Soul, to Spirit, to Life and to the moment. We are dedicated to building a caring community and to inspiring peace and wellness by offering yoga for all levels, taught in the contemplative Kripalu tradition, and offering inter-faith programs in spiritual inquiry and practice, drawing from any and all traditions.
At Sacred Spirit, we believe contemplative practices are essential for our physical, mental, emotional and Spiritual well-being, and contemplative, Kripalu style yoga is the practice we love! In our classes, our focus is on supporting compassionate self-observation. Students are allowed time to move into each pose, truly witness and find themselves being in the pose, and experience the sensations and after-effects of the pose. Contemplative yoga, not 'Gym Yoga'. Our vibe is warm, welcoming to all, spacious and Sacred.
Our primary practice at Yoga Culture is vinyasa yoga where movement and breath are coordinated, with extreme attention on learning and alignment. We do Sun Salutations, but also slow things down to really get into the body and, in turn, the mind. Oh yeah, we play music during our classes - another expression of our lives. It has the ability to bring a group of people together. On a typical day as you receive nuanced yoga instruction, you’ll hear rock, folk and classical music in a colorful and calming atmosphere where everybody knows your name.
